Surrounded by mountains on four sides, Sanxiang id shaped liked a “treasure bowl”. In recent years, town committee party & government manages Sanxiang as a treasure place for living & wording to build a harmonious Sanxiang.

 

ⅠTown construction

 

[ New Central District] New central district is planed & constructed the center of administration, culture and finance, total space of 114.83 ha. The main point construction items are central sight main road, administration building, cultural & activities center, commerce trading center (Sanxiang Hotel) and convention & exhibition center. Now, there are a group of large commerce nets there, as Park Land Business Square, Sanxiang Comprehensive Market, and so on. Besides, Culture Square of 80 mu, luxurious residential quarters – Agile Garden, Agile Bus-station, Sanxiang Bus-station， Ping’an Bus-station, Foreign Economic Building, and lots of important organ’s office buildings. Public Security Bureau, Industry & Commerce Administration Bureau, Taxation Bureau, Construction Development office, Water Supply Company, Telecommunication Bureau, are also located in this Central District.

 

[ Industrial Park ] There are 4 new industrial parks are been planning to construct, namely Ping Pu industrial park of 5970 mu, Ju Du industrial park of 4600 mu, Dong Gui industrial park of 3300 mu, Bai Shi industrial park of 1600 mu. Among them, Ping Pu industrial park is the key of town industrial area, which is managed by town Industrial Company, mainly constructed industrial area, living area, villa and garden. Excellent investment environment attracts best investors, and makes great success. Since Ping Pu industrial park has been constructed, there is 37 items are invested. It is RMB 532 million of industry output that the Foreign-Fund Enterprises make in the park last year.

 

[ Environmental Protecting ] Sanxiang pays great attention to environmental protection. A principle of “three prohibitions” and “four disapprovals” has been strictly observed. The Sewage Disposal Plant cost RMB 60 million that went into construct in 2004. In order to create a better living and working environment, Sanxiang has contributed a lot to make herself green, clean and beautiful. Streets with trees planted aside and green districts can be seen in every village. Green area per capita numbers 8.05 square meters. In 1994, Sanxiang was recommended as one of the “Top 100” national virescence-towns, and got the award of Ecological Model Town of Guangdong in 2002.

 

Ⅱ Infrastructure Undertaking

 

[ Transportation ] National Highway 105 runs through Sanxiang. Now the density of Grade A & B highways in Sanxiang reaches 0.65 km/km². Shatan Highway & Jinfeng Highway are under construction. There are 3 main bus-stations in Sanxiang. Regular buses pass through 14 provinces and HongKong. There are three main highways of civic area will be through here, namely, West along Coast Highway and west line of Guang-Zhu Highway. Sanxiang has such convenient transportation, airport of Guangsdong, Shenzheng, HongKong, Macao & Zhuhai are located in Sanxiagn’s 90 km of circle transportation. Nansha Harbor, Gaolang Harbor, Zhongshan Harbor, Shenwang Harbor and many seaports of Hongkong & Macao are also nearly Sanxiang.

 

[ water & power Supply ] The daily water supply amounts to 140,000 tons. Four alternate reservoirs, namely, Longtan, Maleng, Guhe, Tuabxin, guarantee additional water supply when needed. A new water work cost RMB 58 million is under construction, which daily water supply amounts to 100,000 tons. Power supply facilities, such as a 220-kilovolt substation and three 110-kilovolt substations have been set up. Power lines of 10 kilovolts totaling 136 km have been connected to all villages. The electricity supply is sufficient enough to meet the demand of Sanxiang at present and in the future.

 

[ Post & Telecommunication ] A telecom building with an installed capacity of 60,000 sets of phones has been established, with all cables constructed underground. The lines of telecommunication are more consummate & more consummate in industrial parks, commerce & living district. Service-stations of post, telecommunication, China Mobil & China Unicom are anywhere.

[ Dwelling house & the Real Estate Market] Sanxiang encourages and attracts civilian fund to foster estate market, gather power of all of walks to build the best environment of living, especially it has lots of excellent residential district, such as Agile Garden, Pingdong Club, Jingyi Garden, Huafeng Garden, Gangquang Garden, Lijing City Squar and New Century Garden.

 

[ Tourism & Commerce ] There are many famous constructions and scenic spots in Sanxiang, for example, Zhongshan Hot-springs Hotel—the first Sino-foreign cooperative operation business in China, Zhongshan Golf Club –the first golf course in China. Xiangquan Villa with an investment exceeding RMB 100 million funded by the MOFTEC, and the Merchants Club of over RMB 100 million financed by the H.K. Investment Group. There are Agile Hotel, constructed with 5-star hotel standard, and one 4-star hotel, three 3-star hotel in Sanxiang. In recent years, the famous tourism point is Quanglin Tourism Manor, another is Xiao Lianghuang Park, which constructed with over RMB 700 million, covering 4000 mu, is free for people. Xiao Lianghuang Park was named national outstanding all the people healthy body activity station.

 

[ Shopping ] Sanxiang is a collecting and a distributing center of commodities of the south part of Zhongshan. It owns a number of shopping centers, for instance, 10 trade markets, a department store, One Plus One Supermarket, Xinhe supermarket, Baihui Supermarket. Besides and Sun Carol Supermarket, Park Lane Business Square and the pedestrian mall, are located in this town. The food service industry is fairly prosperous and there are more than 350 restaurants in Sanxiang, of which over 30 are sizable and high-class.

 

[ Culture & Education ] Sanxiang is a strong education town of Guangdong provience. Now Sanxiang possesses a municipal first-grade senior high school, one vocation school, tow state-run middle schools, tow civilian-run middle schools, 8 state-run primary schools, 3 civilian-run primary schools. The culture undertaking in Sanxiang is flourisling, TV station, culture station, culture & activity, women & children activity center and libraries. Sanxiang Culure Square is recommended the Top 10 best Guangdong Culture Square in 2003.

 

[ Physical Undertaking ] Sports activities are popular in Sanxiang. These include a stadium, 10 football fields, 164 basketball courts, 11 swimming pools, 3 bowling rooms, 23 tennis rooms, 2 badminton rooms.
